The Birmingham Aviation Enthusiasts Group
"BAEG" - the Birmingham Aviation Enthusiasts Group, which was founded in 1999, provides an in depth forum for movements, news and views at Birmingham Airport and other Midlands airfields.
The group has established close links with the Airport company who have in recent years hosted the annual “BHX Airport Forum” and organised visits to the Control Tower and Airport Fire Station at BHX.
“BAEG” has worked together with both the Airport Division of the West Midlands Police and the Airport Company to introduce the “Birmingham Airport Enthusiasts Security Scheme” - BAESS - at BHX.
Membership is open to local aviation enthusiasts.

The Aviation Experience and Gift Centre at Birmingham Airport
The “Aviation Experience” is located on the third (top) floor of Terminal 1 at Birmingham Airport.
An illustrated plan of the proposed Runway Extension that was prepared by the Airport Company as part of the planning consultation is now on display again in the “Aviation Experience”.
In addition to the spectator’s gallery the Gift Centre sells a wide range of items of interest to both the serious aviation enthusiast and the casual visitor including books, magazines, registers, charts, DVD/videos, aircraft models, binoculars and air band radios and scanners.

Birmingham International Airport - BHX - is the 6th largest airport in the UK.
It is located 8 miles South East of Birmingham city centre in Solihull.
It has easy access to both the UK motorway and rail networks.
Flights from the two passengers terminal currently serve over 100 destinations from Aberdeen to Zurich
Birmingham International station is a short distance from the terminal
The Air Rail service provides a direct link to the station
Terminal 1 was opened in 1984
Terminal 2 is used by Air France/KLM, flybe and Ryanair
